Setting up your HP OfficeJet Printer device

  • Discarding the packaging materials and tapes from in and over the printing device, provide it power supply.

  • Opening cartridge access door of the device, wait for the carriage to come to an accessible position.

  • Removing the protective covering over the cartridge by pulling on the colored tab, hold on to its sides.

  • Without touching the electric contacts over the cartridges to avoid poor electrical connections, install them into respective slots.

  • Pulling out the input tray, output tray and extender trays, load papers into the HP OfficeJet printer.

The HP OfficeJet USB or Wireless Printer Setup

  • To connect the HP OfficeJet printer to your device over a wireless network or through a USB, you've to install the printer device's driver software.

  • You'll get the driver of your printer device in the installation CD that comes along with it. However, it is possible for you to download the HP OfficeJet printer driver software from HP's official support website.

  • During the device driver software installation, after you run the file, select the 'Wireless' option. If you connect the HP OfficeJet printer to your home network, it will appear on next driver prompt.

  • Select the printer device on the prompt and complete driver installation to connect it to your wireless network.

  • At this juncture, your printer device is ready for scanning, printing, faxing as well as copying.

  • It is also possible for you to print your documents and photos using the ePrint, AirPrint or Google Print features.
