HP Officejet Pro Wireless Printer Setup

To set up an HP printer on a wireless (Wi-Fi) network, connect the printer to the network, then install the printer driver and software from the 123.hp.com. When prompted during the installation, select Wireless as the connection type.

1. Analyse the Requirments:

Gather the following requirments

• Network name (SSID)

• Network security password (WEP key or WPA passphrase)

• A computer that is connected to your wireless network

• Your wireless-capable printer

Note: Make sure that the printer, router, and computer are all turned on and Disconnect any USB or Ethernet cables from the printer.

2. Connect to the wireless network

On the printer control panel,Wireless Setup Wizard provides an easy way to set up and install the wireless connection to your printer.

• select the setup icon.

• select Network->Wireless Setup Wizard,then click continue.

• select the name of your network in the listed networks, then click OK.

• If the list does not contain your network name, select Enter New Network Name, then follow the on-screen instructions to enter your network name.

• If prompted, type the WEP or WPA key (network password).

3. Install the Driver

Complete the wireless network connection setup through the 123.hp.com.

• Turn on the printer.

• If your printer is connected to the computer with a USB cable, disconnect the cable from the printer.

• Go to 123.hp.com - Software and Driver Downloads.

• If prompted, select a method to identify your printer model, and then follow the on-screen instructions to go to the download page.

• Click Download next to the full feature driver (recommended), or click Basic Drivers for other driver options.
